For every job

The basics.

File format

A PDF is best.

  • Also accepted: AI, PSD, JPG or PNG
  • Word is fine, but save it as PDF so the layout doesn't move
  • In a PDF, embed your fonts or turn text into outlines

Size

Make your file at the final print size.

  • Check the sizes on the product page before you start
  • For big items like banners, you can design to scale, for example 1:10
  • One file per design

Colour

Set your file to CMYK, the colour mode printers use.

  • Screens show brighter colours than print, so very bright colours may look softer
  • Keep small black text in 100% black (K) only
  • Colours can look a little different on paper, vinyl and fabric

Check your text

We print exactly what you send.

  • Check spelling, names, phone numbers and dates
  • Scan your QR codes to make sure they work
  • Very small text can be hard to read

Tips for your product.

Name cards, flyers & stickers

For paper printing, use 300 dpi images and add bleed.

  • Add 3 mm bleed on every side: an A5 flyer (148 × 210 mm) becomes 154 × 216 mm
  • Keep text and logos 3 mm inside the edge
  • Spot UV, foil and sticker cut lines go on their own layer
  • Booklets: send single pages in reading order

Banners, boards & displays

Big prints are seen from further away.

  • 100–150 dpi at full size is enough
  • Keep text away from the edges, where eyelets or stands go
  • Make your text big enough to read from far away

Rubber stamps

Stamps print in one colour.

  • Send a black design on a white background
  • No photos, shading or colour gradients
  • Avoid very thin lines and very small text

UV DTF stickers

Only your design is printed, not the background.

  • Send a PNG with a transparent background
  • Use 300 dpi at the real print size
  • No white box behind your design

Badges & gifts

Small items need a little extra care.

  • Button badges: the edge wraps around the back, so make your design bigger than the badge (44 mm for 32 mm badges, 54 mm for 44 mm, 70 mm for 58 mm) and keep text inside 28, 40 or 54 mm
  • Name tags: send the list of names, spelt exactly as you want them
  • Money packets: follow the tips for name cards and flyers

Print, photocopy & scan

Just tell us what you need.

  • A4 or A3
  • Colour or black and white
  • One side or both sides, and how many copies

Layout lines

Bleed, trim and safe area.

For paper printing like name cards, flyers and stickers, keep these three lines in mind when you lay out your design.

  • Bleed line — where your background must reach, 3 mm outside the final size.
  • Trim line — the final size after cutting.
  • Safe line — keep important text and logos inside this line.
